AUSTRALIAN NATURE AT IT'S BEST

TOUR THE BLUE MOUNTAINS IN COMFORT WITH OZ TRAILS

Also known as “The Grand Canyon” of
Australia, it is located a short distance
from Sydney (55 km to the foot of
the mountains and 110 km to the
peak).

In the year 2000 this region
was added to the “World Heritage
List” of UNESCO as it has: deep
gorges
, steep cliffs, spectacular
lookouts, excellent bushwalks and rich
flora and fauna.

The Blue Mountains World Heritage
area covers 10,000 km and extends 220 km.

The Blue Mountains area contains eight conservation areas, six Aboriginal language groups and more than 100 different types of Eucalypt. It is also home to 127 rare or threatened plants and 52 rare or threatened animals.

THE WEATHER

The weather on the Blue Mountains is not always the same as the weather in Sydney, especially in the costal areas.

So if you watch the weather forecast for Sydney and storms and rain are predicted that is not necessarily the case in the Blue Mountains.

THE BEAUTIFUL BLUE MOUNTAINS

You can purchase this music and video odyssey
at www.creativelifevideo.com.au

Furthermore, a wet and cool day or a day with a high cloud cover can be as rewarding as a sunny day in the Blue Mountains for various reasons:

  1. The waterfalls tend to be more impressive.
  2. There is more wildlife around and the animals and birds are more active.
  3. It is more pleasant for bushwalking than a hot and steamy day with less mosquitoes and bugs in the air.
  4. The blue affect is even stronger than on a sunny day !

The only difficulty for sightseeing on the Blue Mountains is mist. This is very hard to predict and can even occur when there is a sunny weather forecast for Sydney !

We rarely cancel a tour because of bad weather conditions and always have a great day out!
